i have a neighbor that doesnt come out of his apartment either, only every couple of months, or so, he is shizpo too, but it wierd, becuase my friend tell sme he here him screaming and he lives by him self, int he apartment, i dont think that is a good thing,anyways i dont know of anything like that but that guy he is different, and has alot of issues. he throws away his furniture and stuff then comes and gets it after, its been in the trash for couple of days, its weird,

I REALLY DONT KNOW ANY ONE L IKE THAT, IM DEPRESSION IS GETTING BETTER. DUE TO MY PHYSOLICST I BEEN GETTING SICK ALOT, AND THAT I WAS IN ERMERCENY LAST NIGHT MAYBE ITS NOT THE MEDICATION SHE MIGHT NEED TO BE PUT IN HOSPITALIZED ROOM, MENTAL WARD, BECUASE THEY COULD TREAT HER BETTER. SHEMIGHT KILL HER SELF. TAKE CARE AND HOPEFULLY YOU GET H ELP SOON

I'm 31 years old, and this sounds like really close to home for me, I have psychomotor retardation, and numerous depression dignosis, and even a possiable schizophrenia. To myself things are hard to understand, and nobody is ever there for you and never beleave you, your in your own world, and its a great place, however family isn't there and they don't understand. Her room is security, probably like this for instance, she is probably thinking that if I stay in my room, I don't have to worry about right and wrong, what to do and what not to, nobody can hurt her there, and she can't hurt others there, if anything she really is just living a past life which may sound really wird, but she'll be okay, I doubt there is really any real threat of harming others, let her come out at her own pace

Lalena, so sorry to read this about your sister, and you guys will be in my prayers. Just a thought, have you tried googling her diagnosis? It might help - reading something on a medical website in regards to her illness. I've found them to be a wealth of information. Best of luck to your family.

I have an experience I can share with you. I am a caregiver and while working for an supported living services company. We would assist consumers who live on their own independently to stay living on their own. Get groceries, or go to doctor appointments etc. I was in charge of 6 different people and 1 stood out. She was mildly retarted with schizophrenia and some behaviors. All in all she was a sweet girl and we spent alot of time together. It seemed that night time was hard on her. she was by herself and alone in her apartment. with anxiety and nerves kicking in she started self medicating herself the wrong way. Before she knew it she had her days and nights mixed up and her meds in her system where off the charts. So she slowly began to see things that weren't their. and she seemed angree all the time. She was seeing her doctors on regular basis but, she never told us she other doctors she'ld see when we weren't around. Never the less I told my boss something is wrong more than we could even help with. So my boss talked to her and had her check into mental health. Later on my boss told me she said that the voices in her head were telling her to kill me and she was fighting them off. The doctor's re-evaulated her and thought it might be better to change the meds she is on. So for a week of keeping a close eye on her meds intake and behaviors she did get worse. She wouldn't open the door of her apartment anymore and answer the phone. Finally, she agreed to let me take her to the Doctor and all the way there she sat behind me and whispering about how mad she was at me. We went to appointment and of course they changer the meds again. I took her back home because she asked me too. I went down the street to fill her new prescription and I received a phone call from my boss. He said, My consumer was just sent to Sacramento hospitals burn unit by mediflight. I hit the ground because it only been maybe 20 minutes. My boss of course had asked for a detailed list of everything that had happened that morning. A couple of days later I was told she had tried to stop the voices by setting her hair on fire. Now she did burn off all of her hair and her scalp and eye brows and hands had 3rd degree burns to them. Later she did tell the doctors that the voices were telling her to stab me in the back while I was driving. That is why she had acted that way that morning. The doctors realized she was not do to good with all of the med changes. They did ween her like they were suppost to. So they had her go cold turkey of all meds except for what she needed for her burns, While in the hospital. In the end, the only way to gaurantee she would take her meds right was to be in a group home. She is doing well now. and alive.
My advice is pay close attention to stress, nerves, and anxiety levels. Also when your sister gets sick can throw off the meds. Just watch the meds.
As for me I got dedicated in opening up a women's only group home were I felt I could better help women just like my consumer. I just found out that the one that once set herself on fire is going to be the 1st lady to live with me. Kind of Ironic.
