What a difference a few days off can make! I didn't realize that I needed to put the space between me and them to that degree. But looking back and seeing that I've been working nothing but ovetime for the past year and a month it shouldn't have come as any great surprise. I guess we only see what we want to see, when we want to see it.
My time off was spent as how I wanted, ...

1) I left a job and returned to unemployment- which creates feelings of failure, inadequacy. My "self" is taking a major blow due to this. In about five hours my shift will be through. Thank God! I have time off for me and me alone! I will and will not do the following:

Bust my ass to get through the household chores, laundry, grocery shopping, post office and clean the pool so that I can relax for the next five days.

Clang, clang, clang went the trolley, ding, ding, ding went the bell, beep, beep, beep went the smoke alarm's battery while I was trying to sleep, sleep, sleep.
