My son has been going through some rough changes lately. He's going through some hormonal changes with puberty to name one of the them. After going through a rough seizure cycle last week, he's repeating things over and over again. This goes on all day long. It's like something is stuck inside his head and can't be unstuck. It can drive a mom alittle crazy after awhile. I try everything with him to stop. I ignore, I try to refocus his attention on something else and it works for alittle bit but he goes right back to repeating. I also have a problem with him on fixations and that usually goes along with the repetitive statements. Anybody else have this problem? Any suggestions?

" barb4, Please excuse me for butting in here, but has your son been checked out by his physican(s), in order to find out what exactly might be going on with him? The reason why I ask, besides the seizures, is because 'in a way' some of his 'symptoms' sound similar to Asperger's syndrome (the repetitive speech, fixating on one particular thing, etc.). My heart goes out to you because I know exactly what you're talking about. If I knew of any other way to help you (right now the only thing that comes to mind is the Meetup.com website, as maybe someone there might be able to give you some feedback.) believe me I would. In the mean while, I'll keep checking for you and let you know if anything comes up. Take care and God bless. May He send peace and 'understanding' to your situation. "

" Ema, thanks for the response. Rob falls into the Autism spectrum so his behaviors fit the bill for that. If I just had to deal with his mental challenges, I'm sure that I could have gotten him more therapys but dealing with his epilepsy on top of everything else has been a difficult juggling act. Thanks for your kind words and concern. Love, Barb "
