I went to my regular gp doctor today. He is a good physician but I feel like he just does not understand how these changes can cause a lot of these awful feelings. I had a GREAT yesterday. The weather was beautiful. I was full of energy and feeling upbeat. Then last night I jump out of bad having a bad episode. I can't even remember the last time feeling like that. I finally feel back to sleep only to wake up to a big hot flash. I am on my 4th day of my cycle so I know my hormones are flying. It doesn't make it easier.Last month I breezed through it like nothing. So I guess we never know with each cycle how we are going to feel.Also didn't feel like eating much today.I hope tomorrow will be a better day!!!!!!!!!

What's up with the docs? Does anyone have a doc that gets it? I mean, women have been going thru the change since time began. Maybe in the old west, the ladies would sit quietly on their fainting couches taking hourly swigs of Lautilum, but it's 2008. I am very open to doctors (when I force myself to actually go). I ask everything and they seem like they really don't want to hear it, (like," hey doc, I aint got a libido, what can you give me?")It's not like I'm asking them to kiss the nurse on lips while I watch...but you'd think that WAS the question. Or they look in utter amazement that you feel edgy, restless, fatiqued, bloaty. irregular, depressed, anxious.Like our symptoms should be addressed to the docs at the show "Medical Mysteries". In the immortal words of Homer Simpson, I have one word for them,"Dooooow!"

APEY I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND. I AM ALSO ON DAY 4, BUT I HAD ONE SEPT 13TH AND THEN AGAIN STARTED TUESDAY EVENING. I SKIPPED THE MONTH OF AUGUST, AND THAT MONTH I HAD HOT FLASHES FROM HELL. THIS FLOW IS KICKING MY BUTT. I HAVE HAD STOMACHE PROBLEMS ALONG WITH DIZZY SPELLS. I AM NOT SURE IF A PERSON CAN UNDERSTAND THE SEVERITY OF OUR SYMPTOMS UNLESS THEY HAVE EXPERIENCED THEM FIRST HAND. MY GYN IS A MALE SO I KNOW HE HASN'T, BUT I DO FEEL CONFIDENT IN HIS ADVISE. WE ARE SUPPOSE TO GET BETTER, I AM JUST WONDERING IF A HYSTERECOMY WOULD BE THE ANSWER. I'M NOT SURE, BECAUSE THEN YOU ARE DEPEPNDENT ON HOREMONE REPLACEMENT. OH WHAT IS A WOMAN TO DO. I HOPE OUR DAY COMES SOON. STAY STRONG AND GOD BLESS:)

So sorry that you had a bad night, apey. I felt the same way until I changed and went to a female gyn. She was great. She was the one who put me on the YAZ for the peri symptoms. I do still have times of panic but not very often. I do have lots of trouble sleeping and wake wet with sweat. We will get thru this.....hopefully with a little sanity left. I hope your day is much better.
