Even when I wake up feeling good, by 1-2pm I suddenly feel totally run down. Lately been feeling nauseated in the evening and can't keep up with the housework because after I get off work at 5pm I'm just to tired to do anything. Does anyone else suffer from the nausea and any suggestions on how to control it?

" I know what you mean by the afternoon dragging. I don't drink coffee but by 2-2:30 I am definitely ready for a little boost and end up drinking a tall glass of ice tea. I haven't had the nausea though. Have you changed your eating habits. I too wish I could help.

" Hi
Like Olivia has mentioned, I too feel nausea with anxiety.
Don't know if this would apply to you??

Another thing I have found during my menopause is that some of the symptoms of pregnancy are appearing, like when I see someone breast feeding ~ I long to do it .. lol. My maternal feelings just kick in!!
I think our hormones must be playing tricks with our bodies at the moment.
Hope this helps in some way ~ perhaps you could mention it to your doc if you are attending one for menopause. "

" Yes SDWill, I also get nausea sometimes. To me, that is another indicator that the hormones are fluxuating ... similar to early on in pregnancy. Also, anxiety can make me feel nauseated.

I wish I had a suggestion! I've just been dealing with it! I hope it tpaers off soon for you. It is uncomfortable and makes it hard to concentrate on anything else.

Hang in there! "

" I totally understand the fatigue. I used to be a tornado with the daily housework. I do fairly well until about 2 then it just falls off and I feel like slug. If I could just nap for about an hour it would be heaven. But who can take the time to nap with all there is to do? So I just muddle through it at a snails pace. Also if I sit down to watch tv with the family within 5 minutes I am sound asleep. I hope it helps you to know that you are not alone. "

I too envy young mothers breast feeding there babies Beth, I think it's because we know we wont ever do that again, instead we should feel lucky we were able to do that in the first place, am I right ? ~~ God I'm talkin in riddles tonight ~~ lol If it's any help Sandi, my GP said to eat little and often, and try and keep your blood sugars up ~~ I have no problem with the blood sugars just ate a whole bag of Maltesers ( family size ) lol give it a go Sandi, that helped me a little bit ~~ "

" When I first started menopause 5 long years ago (sigh) my first symptom was intense nausea. I thought I had a dread disease, as I had never had such a problem. Well, now I realize, five years later, that this is not going to go away anytime soon. I get nausea right before a hot flash, of which I have many during the day.

I've gotten used to it. Ginger tea helps somewhat, but it is definitely not my worst menopause problems these days....if I could find a cure for my raw, itchy eyelids, I would be happy.

You are not alone. "

" Oh, gianna, I so totally agree!! What is it with eye thing?! Every morning they itch and feel like they are full of rocks and sand..ugh! But at least I am waking up, huh?
The nausea hits me too right before a hot flash, sometimes a lightheaded dizziness may hit at the same time. But then the heat his and it all goes away when I cool off. New symptom every other day, I guess....such fun! Hang in there, sdwill...try crackers(saltines) and cool ginger ale for your nausea. It helps me a lot. "
