i am new to this site and would like to her anyone who has symptoms like this, i 59 yrs old and suffer with dryness and discharge and vey sore and red inside virgina, had tests and now using estriol ceam for it, but i am worried about using it has cancer runs in family, i have good nurse but she can only do so much, my doc is usless on this, please help ,

I used estradiol for vaginal atrophy, it worked very well and pretty fast. estroil is the weakest form of estrogen so it may take longer to help you. It is supposedly only absorbed by the vaginal tissue and not into the blood stream so supposedly has lower risks, however the truth is your vagina can only absorb so much, and eventually a little bit does get into your blood system.
It is thought to be safe to use with family history of cancer unless you yourself have had a history of cancer.
