I am not in menopause, but this seemed like the best place to find advice on this topic. I am 36 and suffer from very irregular periods and hormones that are competely out of whack most of the month.

Birth control pills make me worse, as do anti-depressants. I went to see my doctor today and left with her telling me that since those two therapies don't work for me....I am out of luck. I have scheduled an appt. with another doctor as I really can't live like this and neither can my family.

As I googled my way through things today I happened on this therapy, which I realize is used most in women with menopause, but read good things on it in helping women who suffer from severe PMS...level themselves out.

Just looking for anyone's experience with this treatment.

Thanks!

" I have used several different bioidentical creams. The main one I use is DHEA, which is a precursor hormone for the other reprductive hormones. But, I have been on low-dose testosterone for my sex drive, and I am now on progesterone and estrogen to regulate my cycle, which, after being very regular all my life, has now become a nightmare of bleeding more than not bleeding. I count form the first day I bleed, and use the estrogen for the first half of my cycle, and the progesterone for the last half. It has eased back the irregular bleeding a lot, which is wonderful! "

" Hello,
I have been on bio-identical hormones since I was 43 and not am 58, due to thyroid disorder I went into it early. Have been on Estrace and Prometrium since 43 and have been able to experience no PMS for the first time since age 15 and people say I look like I am in my 30's no wrinkles, its not genetic.... I believe keeping your hormones about the same as they were when you were young will help keep you looking and feeling better....My fear is losing my hormones and going back to the night sweats and anxiety and crying jags that I had before....I know I need to learn more about menopause....Just hate changing anything that works.

I am sure I will learn of alot from all you you.
Thanks! "
