Theresa what a hard thing to have to endure so young. I highly recommend finding someone who can give you natural hormone supplements. You need more than estrodial. At least progesterone. But the right person can balance your hormones out naturally and you will feel better, best of luck k

Be more insistent with your GYN and your quality of life. If that doesn't work, get a new one. But before you do, check to see if you have a good compounding pharmacy near you that will be able to custom-blend something for you, or have legitimate alternative suggestions. There is one here in Pittsburgh.

I can't do HRT due to a medical condition, so I take extra B vitamins; they do help with the hot flashes. I don't get night sweats; at least I don't now!! Regular exercise seems to have taken the edge off of my mood swings.

Sorry, I forgot...The progesterone works for a lot of women. (Not me though.)
BTW, post here whenever you like; whether you're 25 or 45 going through this can be rough.

Wow...so young to have to endure this. I agree with the suggestions of natural supplements. I also have raging hot flashes that come in stages, but can drive you crazy when they hit every ten minutes or so. I am currently taking Black Cohosh on a daily basis, and although they don't remove the flashes, they do take the edge off them. I still get them, but they aren't as severe and I find I'm not as irritable. There are many natural products you can try, but I would speak to a compounding pharmacist to see what's best for you. Good luck!
xoxo

As I avoid all docs and chemicals as far as possible I stick to sage extract for hot flushes, they work a treat for me! Not one red and burning body and wet hair all day for me! It can't help everyone but is worth a try.

racing, can I ask what mg you are taking? I saw this specialist that helped me SO much. They did my bloodwork and sure, I was within the normal range for someone on HRT. BUT, what most doctors don't tell you is that you may need to increase the mg, you will still be in the NORMAL range and get better relief. ONCE I came off the 0.5 and went up to the 0.1mg, my hot flashes stopped. Also, I kept a food journal. I found all those hot flash triggers. Therapy or NOT, spices and chocolate are off my list.
Hope this helps..
Sending you COOL thoughts...

Hi Teresa, I'm 43 and had a partial hysterectomy at 33. I feel so lonely and need help for some answers too. Hang in there. Does hot flashes ever stop?
