Oh wow its got to be very hard for you. Do you have dizzy spells as well? I have ringing and tones and sometimes it seems like someone turned down the volume in there. A lot of times people have to repeat what they have said as I can't understand what they are saying. I too went to all the doctors and had every test done, and they told me that there is nothing they can really do about the ringing, just maybe the dizzy spells with meds and surgery. I've decided meds are fine with me for now. I wish I could give you some advice, it sounds like your tones/noises in your ears are worse than mine are and i really feel for you. Just know that we are all on here to support you, even if you just need to vent. I know that sometimes the tone is so loud I cringe and it hurts, and then people look at you like your crazy. Other people just don't get it sometimes. Really I just have to deal with it, and to be honest that answer sucks! I don't want to live with it, you don't want to live with it...and sometimes I wish I could just shake someone and say give me the answer. If I find out anything or I hear anything about maybe natural supplements or diets i'll let you know, you may have already tried these things but the sad thing is they just don't know much about this disease. I wish you all the best, I really wish I could have helped you or give you something. Just know we are hear for you anytime. Sometimes its good knowing there are people out there who understand and care, and we do. Best of luck...
~hugs~

I don't have a lot of noises in my ears, only ringing and that isn't very often. I get sharp pain sometimes in my left ear but the doc says that may be totally unrelated to the Menieres.

ledliyl,
There is a over the counter supplement called Lipoflavonoid plus that is supposed to help with the tinnitus and other meniere's symptoms. You can get this at walgreens and online. I have hearing loss in my affected ear and the tinnitus was the first symptom of Meniere's before the vertigo attacks. I ended up getting a hearing aid and that helps with the tinnitus. This is a miserable disease at times and we all feel for you and understand, believe me. I have not tried the lipoflavonoid yet but may consider it if acupuncture doesn't help. Also, you can explore the John of Ohio regimen. Alot of people have gotten relief from that. Good luck !!

I think the T is part of the meniere's. My T gets so much worse anywhere from a few hours to 24 hours before I get a bad attack of vertigo.

Yeah, there are people who have ear ringing without tinitus; however, if you sometimes have one or the other, I'd bet you have Menieres.

I just read a medical book by a doctor who complied other docs papers on meniere's and they still dont' know what causes it as there are so many variables and kinds. This was the doctor I finally got to see who gave me NO answers either but wanted more tests:( so I've just accepted the disease and have made peace with having it. As long as I avoid stress, mine isnt' as bad now...of course, I live on ginger root capsules too and am trying the bioflavoinoids recommended by John of ohio.
I still have the ringing tho, esp on going to bed. Then I just do some deep breathing or switch to the other ear which can produce music now?! Hard to not think u are going nuts but we arent'! I still believe it comes from the neck and brain. I have lost 70% of my hearing now:( so do all u can to protect your hearing! The doctors just don't seem to take it that seriously where I live:( I have learned the most about this disease from u all and I thank everyone again.

yes, there is somebody..me.
i have exactly what you are describing. I can totally imagine what post-traumatic stress disorder must be as I jump with loud noises/touch. My Dr says a hearing aid won't mask the roaring....i have been diagnosed with Meniere's and I am 36.
