I have a persistent problem...
When reading, hearing or seeing an issue that I have consummate interest in I find myself going into a trance or zone in which I discuss the issue internally. This occurs often within minutes into the article, video or TV presentation. Often for minutes or hours which at some point in come to a conclusion. I find that I am somewhat or totally in agreement with my conclusions. It seems disassociative with reality to the point that, I feel I have been overcome with some mental condition that tends seek internal methodologies, where within I find a construct that meets my experiences. It can be a book, newspaper/magazine article or TV presentation. Once I conceive I have a present opinion I find that I start the process of zonint out and conferring with my inter-beimg. Truly not knowing what to make of this or if other have the same experience. Thanks all. Posted on 09/24/07, 12:09 am |

Hi, Elusivedreams!!!
Have you always been like this!? Perhaps you have Asperger's Syndrome. That often goes undiagnosed. The way you relate your experience reminds me of the way other Aspies I know and have known express themselves. As to the experience itself, I can't say that it makes me think 'Yes!!! He's an Aspie!!!!', but I wouldn't rule it out, either.!!! Aspies have fascinating ways of thinking!!! If this sounds to you as something that you might want to consider, there is an Asperger Syndrome community on DS. Perhaps you could pose your question there and see if any of the members can relate to your situation!!!
