No matter what medication I take after a few weeks it causes my bladder to hurt and I have great difficulty passing urine.
I have had scans on kidney and bladder, kidney xray and bladder examation and nothing has been found.
I'm very concerned.

" I would be very concerned too!! keep at the dr's to help find what exactly is going on...maybe suggest a laparoscopy...it's day surgery and a tube goes into your belly button...then the dr's have a "looksy" to see what is going on...hope you get questions answered!! take care!! "

" Oh I've had the camera down throat and they found a hiatus hernia and inflamation in my gullet. I began treatment for the inflamtion about nine months ago. I was ok for a few months then the bladder problem started and I was taken off the medication and the inflamation is still there. "

" Just returned from the DR. I havent seen this one before but she is very nice. She is puzzled and doesnt think the pills are the problem- Im convinced they are as the discomfort has worn off slightly and coincides with the same thing every time I get the problem.
She suggested an irrritable bladder make be the problem rather than and thinking the pills are to blame and maybe the problem lies elsewhere. She said could try a combination of pills one to relax bladder - then saw the one I was on was one till now!! Then said about refering me to an wait for it incontinence nurse!! to test how much I'm passing etc and talked about cathaters and being shown how to do it myself GULP Im not a DR but I dont think that the answer as when my own GP took me off pills for a month I was fine. I said we know our own bodies to her!!
Already the problem is improving which it does everytime I stop taking pills. Of course my BP will now climb to dangerous levels and she said that I could have a stroke - its a very difficult time. I mentioned after ther last time I had it and before latest course of pills DR took me off medication for a month to see how things were going and I went back to normal in that capacity. So I think they are to blame but doctors cant see how. Where does that leave me stand. I know Im not suposed to stop pills without asking but i was desperate. What do I do. "

" Well after a few days I'm starting to return to normal and the discomfort is much better but I know my head is pounding this morning and guess my BP is rising fast.
I expect I will get a ticking off from original DR for stopping the pills but he was on holiday and it was the weekend so couldnt have seen anyone and had to make my own judgment.
At least I know its the pills doing it but I dont think the Dr would agree with me as its unheard of. "
