Hi everyone I am in need of some help I have to girls with cerebral palsy and we live in New York but planing on moving to Florida I just wanted to know does anyone think this is a good move for us. I wanted to see if anyone have Medicaid and live there or know someone who live there, cause I here so many conflicting things about Medicaid in Florida so please help.

You'll also be able to apply right online. I would do that as soon as you move. Run to the library and get your application in ASAP. You will also need to notify NY of your change of address.

Apply ASAP. It takes 45 days for them to process Medicaid. And even longer to get them on CMS. This is a special Medicaid for needy children. I do not know about New York. But here they are an HMO state. And it sucks. My kids and I have private insurance but also have Medicaid so we have the rare Straight Medicaid.
