How do I quit when husband won't?

Husband and I both smoke. Whenever I try to quit we don't get along. We are not on the same page. I have been through treatment before. He said he would quit then but didn't. I started smoking again because I was tired of fighting with him. Everyday I am disgusted with myself because I smoke. I want to stop. We are out of pot & I know if he finds some he'll bring it home. I need help. How do I quit when he won't?

" My husband and I also have a smoking issue -- I started smoking again when I got married to him 14 years ago. I was sober for two years, originally going to M.A. meetings, then sober on my own, even when he was smoking. He agreed to smoke out in the hall where I wouldn't smell it. Then 911 happened in my neighborhood -- we live near Ground Zero, and I started smoking again. I understand your struggle because it is mine -- somehow, I keep trying to quit and I can't because he is smoking and I weaken. I love my husband and he is my soulmate, so I know I have to work this out. Reading these posts is good, because there are others out there like you and me, struggling quietly. Good luck to all of us. Some people who posted are succeeding, that is inspiring. "

" Hmm should I reword that? I don't smoke weed anymore, and it was hard for me to quit. I can't imagine living with somebody who smokes weed, it would drive me crazy! "
