I received my first Avastin injection in my right eye last Friday to hopefully stop the leaking vessels. Although it did not really hurt because of all the numbing they do before hand, the whole idea of it all just gave me the willies!!
Saturday my eye was very painful and I looked like someone popped me in the eye. I had antibiotic drops that need to be put in several times a day to ward of infection. Now it's a week later. My eye feels better but still has a little pain. Sight wise I don't think I can tell any difference. I have a doc appointment today at 3 to take new pics of my eye. Hopefully the vessels have sealed and I will not need anther shot. If my sight as improved we should see it when I look at the chart. Last week I could not see the big E, I could only make out the top corner of light on the edge of the chart. Wish me luck! Posted on 04/11/08, 08:04 am |

colormeblue, sounds like you feel scared but hopeful and that time and doctors are helping you. My first injection was about a week and a half ago. Since then I have been realizing that what I thought was a need for different glasses is really the AMD in my left eye causing me confusion and fogginess.
Peace, GrandmaRosemary
