" my main symptoms were gas, cramping & bloating. sometimes these symptoms can last for DAYS after i ingest dairy. i'm sure it's different with everyone, but as far as i know it can take up to a week to get some foods completely out of your system, especially when allergies & intolerances are involved. your body basically has to work twice as hard to digest problem foods.

i made the mistake of letting my boyfriend use "just a little bit" of regular milk when making french toast yesterday morning, and i am still dealing with the aftermath 15 hours later. won't do that again!

my personal experience has been that most doctors don't know jack about LI and it's best to get a referal to a GI specialist, someone who's trained mainly in these kinds of issues.

how long have you had symptoms for? and how old are you, if you don't mind me asking? "
