We have the milk of magnesia, but I'm not constipated right now, thanks to the Fiber One. I may end up taking it to clear out my system, sort of a "do-over". I was just wondering if anyone else has had this trouble. I quit taking the Tums and eating the Fruit Loops, and so far, so good.

Fruit Loops are full of sugar and processed wheat. This is a really terrible cereal to eat if you have IBS problems. I would advise you to eat something simple for breakfast. Rice Crispies and Rice milk with a banana or strawberries will be much better for you. These foods will cool down your inner fire that is causing the constipation. Rice and Barley are your two good grains. Real Fruit is also good with Apple and Watermelon being the best.

These 2 products have 2 things in common: artificial flavors/colors. Perhaps that's what bothers you.

Thanks so much guys, I appreciate the info. No more Fruit Loops for me, Fiber One and fruits for now on.
Keith, I've never heard of rice milk before. I use lactaid milk, what do you think?

I don't know about the tums. But look for sensitivity to colorants and flavorants and also preservatives. First thing I found to be a major problem with my IBS. Have to make my own stuff. :(

I guess the Tums would have something in them then, they are fruit flavored and colored so maybe that's why. I'm sticking to pepto now, never have had troubles with that.
Just going to stick with once a day Activia and try to keep myself relaxed.

oh i cant have hardly any cereal except sometimes the hardcore high fibre health ones or musuli!!! I wouldnt touch frut loops.....they are all sugar! Might as well eat ice cream! What your eating now is the ticket! Keep to a wholesome cereal for breakki!

Another issue may be the sugar in FL. Have you tried Cheerios or plain old Shredded Wheat? These are fairly "clean" cereals. Pepto would stop me up til Christmas. Instead of Tums, try Gaviscon or Mylanta.
