Thanks.

I need this advice, too. I ALWAYS have a stomach-ache, every day. Is peppermint tea a good alternative?

I use GasX. Works great for me. I avoid gas causing foods and I still get a lot of gas. I can't figure out where all the gas comes from?

When the pains become unbearable, I hop into bed and my husband brings me bevispas, peppermint tea and a hot water bottle, it's the only thing that works for me, after a few minutes, the gas is released and I feel human again...I have on occasion had this problem lasting for a few hours and I just stay in bed. Thank god I am self employed I'm not sure how I would cope if I had an office job, can't imagine trying to explain that one to the boss, "erhm excuse me, I have gas today" yeah right....

Hi there! I also have IBS, besides my fm/chronic fatigue and other ailments. When my irritable bowel is acting up basically every other day, the symptons I have is of course the big bloated stomach, (which does make me look 9mths. pregnant) The pain is sooo unbearable that I am doubled over in pain, which goes from the abdomen right through me into my lower back like someone kicked me big time!! I also have bouts of constipation, then diarrhea, and of course a lot of gas and then some very big bowel movements, sorry to sound so graphic, but anyway with me I take modulon a medication that I have been on the past few years!! I only take it when the severe pain is very unbearable and when I do it helps me with lowering my IBS pain within 15min. most times I don't know what else I would do without it!! I have also tried the heating pad at times when it isn't too bad, and just laying down for a while and hopefully passing some gas. When you see your Dr. next I would sure ask him about this med called again Modulon, you may be amazed!! Prayers for you to find your way!! God Bless Sue xxoo

I suffer with this also, sometimes real bad. Gas X helps somewhat, but I feel like I need to double the dosage. I just started taking a probiotic today and I am hoping to get relief with this.

The doc recommended GasX and buspar (an anxiety med). So last night we had dinner with a new couple. I knew I was tense, so I took 3 of the strongest GasX before I left home. The house was fabulous (and so opulent that it intimidated me) and I felt the gas building before appetizers started. I was at the max of GasX but I took 3 more before dinner - no good. I had some bean-o in my purse, took an overdose of that too. NOTHING! I made a couple trips to the ladies room, it's a wonder it didn't explode.
GasX has always worked before, I don't know what went wrong. I also wonder what the consequences are from triple dosing and adding beano, the box says 2 every 24 hours maximun.
