I was just prescribed dicyclomine (Bentyl) today for my IBS. Has anyone been prescribed this before? And if so, does it work well? Thanks.

I am on it. I have found it pretty helpful as long as I stay away from foods and spices that I know aggravate it. The only side effect is I'm tired a lot.

I had it one time and it made me feel spaced out and drugged. plus real sleepy. i changed to librax. it works better on me.

It actually has the adverse effect on me. It makes me unable to sleep. Isn't that weird? I guess it's just some weird fluke or something.

I have been taking it for a few months now. I have found that taking it at night and occasionally after dinner helped me with the sleepiness and the stomach rock I used to get in the mornings. It works different for everyone. I say experiment with different times and you'll find what works for You! Peace.
