Some of my friends and family dont really understand that IC is really painful and they kind of think that I am just being a baby about all of it and that its not as bad as I make it sound. How do I make them understand how I feel?

My experience is that you cant make anyone understand you are the only one who knows for sure how you feel. I understand because in the beginning i was accused of dragging it out to long just for attention. This was not something i would wish on anyone to go through. Hang in there

Hi
It is hard to make anyone understand it unless her or she went through it or did research on it. My advice would be to educate them; knowledge is power. It is also important to have a good Urologist that really cares about you. I know for me that having someone that understands what you are going through is very important.
