I have asked my Doc for lunesta but he keeps pushing Ambian CR. How does it work? Ambian either makes me have vivid dreams all night and I wake up feeling like I stayed up watching TV or else I sleep so hard that I jerk awake feeling like I just laid down and didn't rest at all. If I am upset or stressed it doesn't work at all.

I couldn't handle the taste for that long...it is horrible!!!
I been on Ambien, AMbienCR, lunesta, restoril, with help of other meds, klonopin, seroquel etc etc and I still get no sleep....frustrating!! So it hasn't been lunesta but I was on Ambien and seroquel for that long if not longer...neuro said eventually they do tend to stop working so he started switching but no luck so far. All the best to you 2 and hopefully restful nights of good sleep!!!

I was on lunsta for awhile but it wasent strong enough for me. I would stay with this med if it works for you because besides the horrible taste it has very few side effects. Ambien can do all sorts of horrible things for your body so I wouldnt go on that particular drug.
