Hi Everyone,
I was recently perscribed Ativan 3 weeks ago for my anxiety.....and it does seem to dull me to most things including my own real feelings, so i have been trying to stop taking it, but everytime i do i have terrible insomnia, cant sleep at all during the day or night......and i'm on the lowest doseage of Ativan. This all started when i started taking the damn pill. So just wondering if any of you have had to deal with the withdrawl/insomnia and how long i should expect it to last. I make it about 2 1/2 days of no sleep and then i usually cave and take .5mg one. grrrrr so frustrating. Thanks for any help!

" Can you just take some Benadryl to get through the nights without Ativan until you are off the Ativan? The sleep won't be great quality but better than nothing. Maybe you can take the Benadryl and along with that do a long slow taper of Ativan, just take less and less each night until you take none. It's a shame Ativan is so addictive because it's good shit... "
