Anyone out there looked into embryo adoption.? We may be dealing with a no sperm AND no egg situation so I have been doing some research. It looks like it may be cheaper than using donor eggs and donor sperm. Any done it? Anyone have any advice in this area?

Thanks ladies!

" I looked into it because I, too, am in the donor egg and donor sperm situation. However, for me the cost was about the same and the embryo adoption required a lot more paperwork, etc. Sometimes the "donating" parents had the right to pick the adoptees of their embryos. And, there was a longer wait for the embryo adoption rather than the egg donor/sperm donor. Soooo, after my investigation, I went back to the donor eggs and donor sperm plan.

Good luck! "

" I haven't done it but i maybe in the same boat as you. How much info have you found? What is the cost difference for you? For me IVF with my DH sperm and Donor sperm was the same exact it was 310.00 to get the donor sperm. I don't know what my RE charges for donor egg though. Keep me updated if you don't mind.
Good luck and i will keep you and your DH in my prayers. "
