Don't worry. When I started IVF #1, I messed up my injectible medication the very first time. I called the nurse the next day and told her what I did, as I had a feeling I f----d up. She said one day wouldn't hurt me. We then reviewed for about 20 minutes what I needed to do. The medications I messed up were not the same as yours, though. So don't take anything more until you speak, at length, with the nurse. These damns meds, not to mention the whole friggin process, is confusing and mentally draining. So don't beat yourself up and tell DH to chill. Just call the nurse and get things straight. Again, tell her what you did so you can have piece of mind, but it should be ok.

Thanks dspilatore! I wish I could say I was able to see this as "OK." If I have taken 7 days of 1 10th of what I was suppose to, then I royally screwed up! I will be so sick if it ruins this cycle!!!!!!!!!

I looked for the Freedom Pharm. ph# & they are not 24 hrs, they just boast having a phamisit on staff at all times(when open) to "answer all your questions."

So I guess I jsut wait till morning...

I would call the pharmacy.. they can clarify "1" vs ".1" - I have never been on Lupron so I am not sure, but it will be OK!
Try not to panic.. with so many different medicines it is damn overwhelming. Good luck! Deep Breaths!

I know you did not get the meds form Walgreen's but they often have a pharmasist on duty 24 hrs a day. The pharmasist at the Walgreens by my house is really knowledgeable. Told me more than some doctors. Maybe you could call them tonight to set your mind at ease. Good luck.

You're doing it fine. It's a little, narrow syringe that goes up to 50 units for me and you just take a small portion of it not a full syringe (or two). Then you start taking half the dosage with Follistim (Gonal). Good luck.

You don't have to call the pharmacy you got the meds from. Any pharmacist can answer your question as long as you give them all the information, or if you bring the bottle you have to the counter. There is always a pharmasist on call at the hospital. They can't tell you anything over the phone, but if you go in and walk up to the counter, they have to answer your questions.

I just wrote this on your journal - you sound just like me last month! Don't panic - it all works out. You are early enough in the cycle they can adjust - call the nurse as soon as possible and they will tell you what to do (I know, overnight can be a killer). I think this happens often. It is a lot to juggle and remember. You didn't do anything that can't be fixed. Tell DH to back off - he isn't trying to keep track of it all AND do all the mixing and injections! He needs to be supportive - if he can't give shots, he could help track and list and check off what has been taken. I really have a big notepad that I keep w/me I have a checklist of daily meds...too many to remember. I wish I had done it with the injections. Then everything is in one place and I don't have to worry about remembering.

Im on lupron also right now. I take the 10units for now and when i start the follistim i drop down to .5 of the lupron. I have to draw up my own syringes and there doesnt look like there is enough to last for 4 weeks, but the pharmamcist at village pharmacy told me that the bottle has 280 units in it..... I would definitly call your drs and see what they say though....

I am pst the 'freak out' but am still waiting to hear from the nurses. I found the original calendar & it is hand written "lupron .1" SIGH!

I think that would mean that would mean 10 units IS .1 Course DH was stil being... 'THE MAN' DH says as we look at the calendar & I say "it's just so confusing" he says, "no it seems really clear..." ARRGGGAAAHHH! As calmly as I could I said, "well, when I am giving myself shots every night and trying to keep track of everything, it is VERY stressful!" "Oh, yeah I guess it is."
