BFP! But still sooooo nervous?

Hi ladies. I've been nervous to speak of news until now for fear that once I actually typed it, it would all go away. Talk about superstitious, right?

Well, first beta was 93, second was 288 and third was yesterday at 1500. They tell me that I am at the 5 week mark and that I will have my first ultrasound in a week and a half and that I should be able to hear a heartbeat then.
I know that I should just be over the moon, but this is my very first pregnancy (first IVF and 3 failed IUI's prior) and quite frankly I'm PETRIFIED of a miscarriage!
Logically, I know that there's nothing I really can do to prevent something like that happening, but I'm still scared nonetheless.
I pray everyday that God lets me keep this little baby and finally gives us the family that we have been longing for for so long. I've somehow got to get over this fear...does anyone have any advice to SNAP me out of it?

I expected to me running around my house screaming with joy at this point, not sitting nervously in a corner! LOL

" First, let me say "CONGRATULATIONS!"

Second, it is odd that I opened this post at the same time I am watching videos about m/s, stillbirths and some of the laws ("Missing Angels", etc.)
As you said, there is not a lot you can do except for pray. I think it is normal for you to worry, but try not to worry too much. I think as time goes on and each u/s comes back normal, your fears may get less.
I think being a parent also means worrying about your child, from the moment of conception until the day you leave the earth.
Try to enjoy the beautiful gift you have been given, take care of yourself and remember you are both in our prayers! "

" Congratulations! There are wonderful numbers. As for fear, it does go away with time and it is natural to worry. Here's what helped me to reduce the fear a little. I told myself that there is absolutely nothing I can do to make pg go one way or another. I also told myself if I start bleeding and have m/c the baby died long long before that so there is no reason to be afraid, everything happened and I am learning about it post-fact. It did help me worry a little less. But honestly even if you do nothing fear will go away in a week or two when you hear heartbeat and see that nothing bad is happening. Good luck! "

" Honey...you just have to relax and try not to stress too much there's no magical word that can make you SNAP out of it. But I honestly beleive that in order to keep your sanity you need to think positive and visualize your healthy baby at all times! Just keep telling your belly that you'll see him or her soon!

And enjoy honey! You have great numbers and everything will be fine!!!

Congrats!!! "

" Congratulations!!!! I think that the nervousness must be normal your first pregnancy, because I got my BFP May 7th... and I have just been so scared of miscarrying, my mom told me just try not to think about it and that is was normal to worry.. Good luck!!! "
