Need help deciphering what my Dr. is doing?

Ok, I need some input here. I started Follistim on 3/20/08 at 200 units, I had lab & U/S on the 3/27 and my Estradiol was 355, Right ovary had follicle size 10 and 31(cyst), Left ovary had follicles 10, 14, 14 and uterine lining was 9.6mm. The doctor had me increase the Follistim to 250 units and have another U/S and lab on 3/31, Estradiol is now 311, Right ovary has follicles 31 (cyst), 17, 10 and left ovary has follicles 15, 13, 13, 12 and my uterine lining is only 6.7mm. Progesterone is 2.65. What's up??? I assume the increase in follistim was to mature some of those follicles more, but it looks like some of them are shrinking and my uterine lining is disappearing??? I've been feeling like my ovaries are huge since Sat and was pretty uncomfortable this am. He wants me to take my Ovidrel tonight and IUI on 4/2. Isn't this wasting the cycle/our time???? Any advice from the experienced would be appreciated.

" It seems odd with decreasing lining and E2 that you would continue...RE always said any decrease means that the eggs weren't maturing. So yes, I unfortunately think he may be wasting time, and money.... "

" Your follicles can increase approx. 2mm per day. My RE says anything at 16mm can mature. In my opinion, I would at least wait until then. But, I'm sure your dr. knows what's best for you. "

" Your follie size is good - you have at least 2 that would be mature, but the falling E2 is worrisome.. I would say you will probably end up with at least one mature egg so there is a chance, but it is not the best odds. Good luck! "
