Ovulation still possible?

Is it possible to have the 'pre-ovulation' basal temperature dip and a positive OPK test and still not ovulate? I'm not producing any CM, so my doctor suggested that I was therefore not ovulating (That was before the positive OPK). I have my first appointment at the fertility clinic in a couple of weeks so I'm sure I'll get my answer then, but I'm just curious... anyone else had this experience? (P.S. I'm on a very regular 27 day schedule)

" The dip can be a sign of implantation. If your opk is positive baby dance girl. Good luck. "

" I was doing the temp thing for awhile, and I realized that there are so many things that can affect your temperature. I would put a little more faith in the positive OPK...and for now just assume you ovulated - you've got nothing to lose! Pay close attention to the temps for the next 2 weeks though - watch for that implanation dip! Sometimes you need to see the entire month's temps to get a better picture of what happened when. Good luck! "

" I too would have more faith in the OPK. It's not going to give you a postive unless your taking hormones or you have ovulated. I know it doesn't just spit out positives all the time. "

" A dip and a positive OPK means that you are about to ovulate. I would question it if you did not have the positive OPK because like others have said your temp could be affected by so many things including ovulation. Some people just produce little to no EWCM. Good luck I hope you got some BDing in. "

" It -is- possible for your body to gear up for ovulation, and then the egg fails to burst through the ovarian wall. So you could have all the fertile signs and positive OPK's without actually releasing the egg where it could be fertilized. "

" I would be an enigma to your doctor then. The cycle I had an excellent post coital, and subsequently got pregnant I had no CM to speak of. I am not one of those women who checks and BOOM EWCM in copious amounts. Obviously though its there because I had the test done...

So I say YES its quite possible to O even without noticing cervical mucus. BD and ENJOY!!! "
