I just got back from having a sonohystogram (which I must say was rather unpleasant). Anyway, I have to have a hysteroscopy to remove an endometrial polyp. Has anyone else had this done? My poor defective uterus...can't grow a baby in it, but fibroids and polyps have no problem moving in and making themselves at home.

Its not too bad, its ambulatory surgery, so you are home the same day. A little discomfort, but by the next day you will feel good. Good luck to you!!! Hopefully this will be the answer for you.

Thanks! Considering that I'm apparently prone to fibroids and polyps, I almost feel like I'm wasting my time since they will most likely just grow back again :-( I am thankful he didn't say I needed a laparoscopy.

I've had poylps removed from my uterus on 2 different occasions and it was not bad. They put you under but you are out the same day. I felt fine by the time I got home but rested as they recommended. I was back at work the next day after both procedures.
