hi....i live in Ga., however my husband and i were trying to adopt special needs children earlier this year (no cost w/ special needs because there are so many of them and the govt. will help, at least in Ga.)...you just need to find a great adoption agency that is willing to work with you.....make sure that they are willing to answer any ?'s you have and dont try to "jip" you out of the whole experience.....it is a pretty straight forward experience, alot of things you have to do such as vaccinations, drug tests, septic tank checks, background checks, fingerprinting, etc. ...but it's worth it in the end....hope this helps and keep me posted.
