Okay ladies.. give me the run down.

Tomorrow I get my 1st blood work and ultrasound, and start these injections. The lupron shots were a piece of cake. This Follistim pen looks a little..scary. How is it? How were your side effects?

" I haven't done the injectables yet, but please let me know all about them! If we don't get PG this month, we'll be starting Follistim next month. Good Luck!! "

" I don't know either! I start all this on Tuesday if my baseline exam goes well on Monday. I got the meds in the mail today and the box was sooooo overwhelming. Good luck! "

" I tried follistim last month. It wasn't painful, but it did make me more emotional than usual...especially because I didn't get pregnant. I actually got an ovarian cyst because it worked "overtime"! Now, I am taking a month off and hope the cyst goes away soon. I will use follistim again though and I hope it works for you ASAP!!!! "

" i did follistim las t month it went very smooth, how ever at first the pen was a little strande because it doesnt inject like a regular shot. This pen spirals down till it has given you your full dose. I must say when you give it in the stomach you don't really feel it because the needle is so sharp. However in my case after the injection my overies felt like a ruberband but everyone responds differently. Giving the shots really were not as bad as i thought. You will be fine by the second injection the first time you need to just get acustom to the pen. good luck "

" Follistim seems to be working great for me, altho, they haven't figured out how much of I really need. I started off with 75 IUI's for the first 6 days (got 7 follicles) and then cut it down to 75 for 3 days and then 1/2 the dosage...but then I still got 7! Anyhow, I had to abort mission both times. Are you taking Clomid along with Follistim? It's really not too bad once you get used to it. Good Luck. "
