I am having a lot of trouble dealing with the painful progesterone injections. I am starting to get huge lumps on my butt and then when you inject in them it absoluetly kills. I am doing the pigeon toe stand and warming up the progesterone in oil but its still so painful. does anyone have any advice for making it a bit more tolerable? Thanks!

" It helped when DH rubbed the injection site pretty vigorously afterwards. Then I put heating pad directly on the spot for about 10-15 min. Good luck. "

" i discovered that some days I have to give myself the injection. I literally feel around the area with the tip of the needle until I find a spot that is not too bad. Then I put the needle in super slow and eventually it goes in on its own--no pain.

I can't stand the stabbing--some days it hurts and others it's ok. "

" Make sure your dh really spreads your skin flat at the injection site. The tighter/flatter the skin, the less it usually hurts. I also bend over on the bed (squeezing a pillow) and extend my leg out straight on the floor (on the shot side). This helps, too. Try to "walk it off" after the injection. Heat also helps after the injection. Hope this helps! "
