Has anyone else had chest pains from their thyroid levels not been right?

I was born with mine not working but this is first time ive had chest pain, I get twinges and ive had them everyday for last few days.

I'm not sure if its from over exercising too much on wii, from my ataxia or if thyroid can cause them?

I havent had the sweating or pain radiating to jaw/arm etc so im fairly sure its not anginaor heart attack. It goes off quick and heat works to relax muscles or a few painkillers.

Any ideas?

Kati

" I do get chest pains that are muscular/tension - not heart attach pains. I have fibromyalgia (chronic pain and fatigue) with my hypo Thyroid and I always thought it was my fibro doing it, but maybe they are part of Thyroid def. "

" Hi

Thanks for answering. So are yours just short sharp twinges when you have overdone things or maybe stretching.

which side of chest do you have them on and do they respond to painkillers and heat?

I am wondering if theres anything that will prevent them rather than having to keep taking painkillers everyday, so i know what to ask my doctor for?

Kati "

" I have had in the past sharp pains on the left side of chest, the deeper I breathe the worse it gets very sharp pain, sometimes if I lie on my left side in bed it brings it on, so needless to say I sleep now on my back or right side. Never have been told what it is, but is very unpleasant. "

" Was experiencing chest pains and palpitations. (heart ache pain) Oh I was also having my face burning up. I too have cfids and fibro, but it wasn't from those. Went to doctor and he tested thyroid. It was too high so medication got lowered. It is still jacked up and need to find a doctor who will test every 6 months. "
