" I have booties that have packs in them that heat up in the microwave for my feet & I get those heat packs from the sporting goods section of the store & put them in gloves for my hands. It's not what my dr. says, but so far I have yet to find an endo that is really off some help. "

" are you on meds and if so are your levels okay? I was cold constantly before I was diagnosed, but when the Synthroid started working the coldness and numbness started to go away.

I remember the first summer after I was diagnosed, when I actually started to sweat. Ugh, it was so nasty! ;) But apparently it's normal..I had just been so cold for so long. "

" I get very cold very quickly, mostly in my hands and feet and then it is very hard to warm them back up.
In the house I ALWAYS wear something like socks or slippers or UGGS if I'm freezing.
One glass of red wine usually works wonders. "

" My hands and feets are cold constantly right now and for years before treatment. For me, it's a sign of undertreatment/undermedicated. Get your panel run. "

" I just posted a similar question in the Arthritis section but then saw this & clicked that the numbness I've been having in my hands & feet might also be because of my underactive thyroid. Thanks for the head up I think I'll make a booking at my doctors to check my levels again, guess it has been awhile. Also I use a heat wheat pack which helps sometimes is this what you meant about heat packs? "
