I've never been able to lose weight, not even a pound only gain all my life. I've just been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and started taking the medication prescribed about a week ago. Has anyone lost a large amount of weight after they were diagnosed and took their meds awhile?

I waited and waited for it to magically happen after finally put on meds.....BUT it never did not on its own anyway.....BUT after meds finally got leveled out I was able to lose all the weight I wanted with just counting calories every calorie that went in I counted it and started with 1700 cals, and then lowered it as I lost...never loswer than 1200 cals.
The Good news is you will be able to lose once your meds are adjusted! And you will feel better. And be able to do it and will want to. Bless you!
