" There are tons of good ones....where to start..well, one thing is to figure out what kind of learner you have...audible, kinisthetic, or visual...a a little or al of both. I found a great site that showed some great tips. Take it one year one subject at a time. The homeschool convention may help if you can wait.
Get a copy of the rainbowresource catalog, its chock full of great stuff. I check all my stuff out at homeschoolreviews.com before I buy....Dont buy anything but readers impulsively or you will fill your house with stuff you wont use. I would buy a put together curriculum for the first year. Christian liberty press is not for profit and will help you write your lesson plans the first year. Its pretty much like parenting more than teaching. The most work is teaching your child to read...the rest is cake....make it fun if he/she is little ....the phonics game junior is a good tip to start out fun and will learn how to read. The thing is once you figure out how she/he learns you make more intelligent decisions.
My son is audible. My eldest are visual. My daughter is audible and kinisthetic. Rock and learn didnt work on my visual boys...its trial and error, good luck write anytime! "

" Another thing you can try is to find out if there are any homeschool support groups where you live or near where you live.

They can be a great resource as to curriculum. And a way for your kidlets to be around other kidlets.

We are in a large city (Austin, TX) and there is something to do every day, soocer, chess club, board day, theater, etc.

Try doing an engine search first and see what comes up.

And as for your little kidlets, keep things relaxed and easy for all of your sakes.

PS We used a book "How to Read in 100 Easy Lessons". "

" thelearningpage.com is a good one that I have used for my younger children.

Look on yahoo.com for homeschooling groups. My area has one and it keeps me up to date with what is going on in the area. Field trips, the law and many other things.

I am involved with a homeschool group from the area. Some that I have been involved with are not as organized as the one I am currently in but I receive a lot of support and info from them that helps me with teaching.

Best wishes! "
