I have recently found out i have hbp. I take Lisinopril HCTZ 10mg/12.5mg. Does anyone know anything about this medicine or maybe use it?

I have been on Lisiniprol for almost 4 years now. No real side effects. Worked great for me for quite some time. I am now taking it with a combination of Coreg 25 mg x 2 also. I had a stroke a little over a year ago and they added the meds to help bring my pressure consistently down.

oh n i take 40.. but thats because i had preeclamsia with severe uncontrollable blood pressure.. it takes a while to get back to normal.

No I started from 10 mg but after preeclamsia my BP worsened so it takes 3 meds now to controll it because it has 3 different reasons, like water retention, stress causing blood vessel constriction and some other hormonal constriction.

my mother was also put on it after her stroke. no side effcts as far as we could tell, they loaded her up with pills after that stroke! I think she was up to 20 different meds a day!

My husband takes it in morning blood pressure goes up during the stress hours. If married has side effects.In another words love life is cut in half.Good Luck

I have been on Lisinipril 20 mg for a month or so. It does a great job keeping the pressure under control. I also take Norvasc 5 mg.

Wow! That is my exact same combination of medications. They are working with no side effects except loose stools a bit more, which does not really bother me. I am really happy with these meds and the dosages.
