" Sue,

I was tested in the same fashion to see if there was something that was causing my hypertension. I had tests for RAS via CT and via dye injections. All came back negative and it was just determined that it was "Idiopathic" - no identifiable cause. I started this process at 18 and I know as a parent it has to be scary. There are some good treatments, don't be afraid to suggest changes if one treatment does not work.

Best Wishes
Marco "

" Sue,

Yes I'll more than likely be on BP meds for life. Currently I am taking the maximum dose of Diovan 320mg and 5mg of Norvasc daily. Every time I have a significant weight change my blood pressure meds also change. I'm currently 220lbs, but when I stay around 180-190 I am on a much lower dosage. "
