A High Blood Pressure Vaccine is in the works? Heard this twice on the news today, plus, on my MSN homepage, do have a section regarding 'Hypertension."
Briefly, this is the recap on the vaccine:

"A vaccine that blocks so-called angiotensin II receptors, thus relaxing blood vessels to lower blood pressure, may one day replace current blood pressure medications, a new study suggests."

ALSO, heard on the two different news station that March, April, AND May were the three months that had the most occurrences of strokes because of the changes in weather.

Had my stroke last May, and also, a friend of mine said her husband had his fatal stroke in May.....

Anyway, thought the news about the vaccine could be encouraging, and think that keeping away of these three months is something to do.....

" i seen that on the news last week but i bet it will come with side effects and unlike pills which have a life of 12-24 hours once you stop taking them the side effect will go but if we get injected 2-3 times a year once its in thats it and if we did get a side effect we would end up on meds anyway to help combat the side effects .me ill be sticking to pill form myself a bit more safer .

" Yes. I read that on a British BP web site. Thanks for posting it. Sounds very promising. However, I'm with Sally . . . I'll stick to the BP oral meds. Or -- even better yet -- work on the reasons for my BP and get off the meds altogether . . . or at least have them reduced. "
