" Jenn, you probably know most of the things to do/avoid. Don't smoke. Exercise. Lower your fat and salt intake. Make sure you are doing all these things and that your BP is down significantly before you think about dc'ing your meds. And please don't stop taking them witout your Dr's OK. "

" Hi Jenn,
I found this regimen today.
calcium 1-1.5 gram
vitamin c 1-3 gram
magnesium 500mg
zinc 15-30mg
garlic orderless 500-1000mg
coenzyme q10 20mg 3xday
plus multi vitamin
I am on Toprol 25 mg 1x day right now but want to eventually eliminate and control it naturally. LIke gaaarp said no added salt and look at sodium content on stuff. If you like ketchup Heinz has a no salt one. I also know that a higher protein and lower carb diet is better...not the atkins kind. "

" Talk to your Dr. Your diet plays a large role. Your Dr. can give you a diet. Have an exercise plan, and don't smoke. Keep in mind that all b/p problems can be controled this way. "
