Simvastatin & ACID?

I just switched from Lescol to Simvastatin due to costs (insurance didn't want to pay for the LEscol anymore). I have noticed an increased amount of stomach acid, burning, and even "throwing up" acid in my throat at night when sleeping...I wake up gagging. Has anyone had similar reactions? I see the Dr. today so I am going to talk to her about it.

oh my thats awful what do they think they are doing . demand NEXIUM you are suffering from bad acid reflux I'm not a doctor but this is one time I have very little doubt. I know of three meds for acid reflux that would be pariet $1.00 per pill prevacid $2.00 per pill and Nexium about $4.00 per pill . You need some relief. I was on simvastatin and because of choking and no change in trigliceride levels so they put me on Lopid ...It works thank goodness I also am on pariet and ezetrol . Acid reflux can be awful stay away from foods which are going to cause acid reflux . btw I still gag from another drug called altace designed to open the blood vessels sigh .
