BLOATING

In May of 2007 I had an MI and since , I have gained 40 lbs ...it took me 20 years to go from 180lbs to 200lbs and just 6 months to break the 240 lb mark yuck I hate it but the worst part of it is I wake up in the morning semi comfortable and each and every day as the day progresses I bloat more and more until I feel like I'm going to pop like an over filled balloon . It really doesn't matter how little or much I eat its the same thing everyday . The only way to prevent it is to not eat or drink at all . Even drinking alot of water causes me to bloat and I do have to drink alot of water because of how dehydrated I feel and of course the heart attack I endured . Can anyone help me solve this problem ...I truly feel like taking a needle and poking my belly to see if it will pop lol ugh . My heart meds could be a factor in the dryness and bloating but my doctor shruggs and says my weight will level off and reverse it self with time and thinks the weight gain is caused by quitting smoking 8 months ago . I hope someone can share some ideas ...thankx

" Do you eat salty food/snacks ? That can make you bloat!!! Watch the salt and processed foods also! No added salt or processed foods or fast foods. Eat more fresh produce (veggies and fruits). I was on a semi-vegetarian diet for six or eight months and my cholestrol went down to 122 and my blood pressure went down to 110/70. I ate fresh and frozen vegeables( no canned..salty !) and fruits. I also ate small amounts of brown rice and occasionally had chicken or fish. My weight went down also !!!! Good luck !!! "
