I looked on the internet and found that the symptoms I have for the hiatal hernia,(needing to eat small meals so i dont feel overfull, pain, gas)are also symptoms for stomach cancer! It also said that having h pylori could be a factor...I had that at christmas..... i have had the barium x ray of my stomach and it came out clear. I had a test for blood in the stool and that came out clear... I am going in for an endoscopy in 3 weeks... what really scared me was that it said the people spend a long time treating the acid reflux and by the time they find the cancer it is too far along.....sorry for rambling... just feel very anxious.... anyone have thoughts about this? thanks for being here....when i try to talk to my husband he says it will be fine and it is silly to worry until the next test....not a comfort!!!

" I did the same thing to myself and worried myself terribly until getting the test results. I have eaten antacids like candy since I was a teenager for severe heartburn. Good news for now, I have GERD and a Hiatal Hernia but not stomach cancer. I'm sure your outcome will be the same! I'll keep you in my thoughts until then~ Angel "

" DONT WORRY! trust me Ive been through this for some reason it makes stomach problems worse I have had all these tests and when I had been throwing up blood and passing blood I was such a wreck I had to go to a behavioral health doctor. the best thing to do is just take one step at a time . plz don't do what I did and blow it out of proportion "

" I have had the tests and already knew i had a hiatal hernia but also have gastritis... but I feel better knowing what is going on... the imagination can be a frightening thing... but it is easy to get scared with the kind of pain that we all get.... "
