Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me? I have had all the tests, with the camera down the throat, and they said I am producing enough acid for 2 ppl. I get alot of pain when eating a meal, and now the doc said the only way now is to fix the hernia. Ive got two problems first I am diabetic, and I have asthma. because of this they dont want to cut me so they said it can be done by putting a tube down my throat and fixing it that way.
Has anyone had this done if so do you get the same syptoms with not being able to be sick, and how long do you stay in hospital. hope some one can help susie Posted on 02/10/08, 09:02 pm |

hello, i have a hiatal hernia as well and right for now i can live with it..yes, i get alot of pain sometimes when i eat. iam on nexium then my doctor said i can get off of it.. sorry im not much help

Hi ...I have had a hiatal hernia for years now,and it is very painful.I have not had the surgery,but i do take 3 nexium a day,which don't really help.Also i take Gaviscon,which helps me when the pain is really bad.The other antiacids don't help me anymore.Good Luck...Oh,prop the ehad of your bed up about 3-4 inches,that helps to keep the acid down.
