For those of you out there suffering, check out healthalert.com. Per the newsletter recommendation, over 2 months ago, I went to a kinesiologiest chiropractor and had the hiatal hernia treatments (have had 4) as well as drank 2 TBS of blended ginger w/ 8 oz water for 15 days and I've been feeling great. I also have changed my diet and don't eat anymore gluten as I found it was contributing to my problems and massive bloating and indigestion. There are other recommnedations in the health alert newsletter for more serious cases.
According to Dr. West, who writes the newsletter, antacids make the problem worse because in most cases problems are a result of too little stomach acid and antacids reduce even more of the acid. This causes havic on your body. The longer you take prescriptions, more problems are caused by side effects. Good luck!!!!!!!!! Posted on 05/16/08, 06:05 pm |

true but in some cases like mine I have acid reflux as well so the hernia allows the acids to come up even worse so i need acid blockers. I too take ginger root It helps so much and fiber is another good one. as far as the gluten sum people are mistakingly diagnosed with iratable bowl syndrome when it is really their gluten in breads and baked products. their body cant break down the gluten like normal digestion system. all of these problems are fixed by trial and error, and in bad cases surgery. never stop taking meds, if you feel like they are not working consult your doctor I tried that and all it does is make it harder for your doctor to diagnose you. stomach problems are the hardest to track there are so many different things that could go wrong
