" The Dr. usually recommeds to the insurance company that you need the drugs. I had no problem after my doc contacted them. See if your doc has talked to them. "

" I have Cigna, I waited a year to get put on treatment. The waiting list was outragist. But I finally got on and did the entire 48 weeks of hell. Can be very hard on some of us. Hubby and daughter had very few sides..So good luck with, call you insurance company and demand an answer. They have to approve you. My well wishes are with you...HUG~HUG "

" A waiting list??? That's pathetic. If you're up for the challenge, don't stop bugging them until they give in! You know the "squeaky wheel" thing. If you or your employer is paying health ins premiums for you and your doctor recommends TX, there should be no excuses for the ins company to deny you TX. "

" we have aetna and at first they denied the drugs when my husb's dr sent for approval. we called the dr and they resubmitted and they were app'd. then we had a similar experience with the pharmacy b/c we chose to go thru medco, mail order as it was so much less expensive. there are a lot of hoops to jump thru, that is for sure, but i found that when i got all worked up about it, i became drained. if we just made the calls and jumped thru hoop after hoop (yes, it was ridiculous) we weren't as drained. it was all worth it as my husb finished 24 wks of tx 6 wks ago undetectable. he was geno 3, grade 1-2, stage 2.
