All I know is that it is standard procedure to check for viral load at 6 months after tx has stopped. If your vl is 0, that usually means you've beat it. It doesn't sound like you had that done. If I were you I would rush to the doc and demand a blood test. The doc should have told you that. Then you will know rather than panicking. I hope this helped. Good luck, good health, and lots of happiness to you!

in one month you will have some real answers with a blood test and insurance. when i feel like you, crazy and fearful, sometimes it helps to surrender. Remember, this too, shall pass. instead of thinking negatively about your future test, try to visualize a positive result. remember you were unde from your first month on and try to hold on to that. you are in my prayers.

I have been off my 3rd roung of TX for a year now!! And crazy stuff about my HCV still comes into play at times! Even though Im a non-responder ( IT IS WHAT IT IS ) My friend. All we can do is keep fighing on.

Most definitely get your blood test when your ins allows it and go from there. Crazy thoughts are part of this whole process and you are not alone in this. I do agree with Darrylk about trying to imagine positive results rather than negative. It's not easy to change your mind-set but you can do it and it can help calm you.
As far as your side and back pain, do you still have a gallbladder? That type of pain can be from several things: musculoskeletal strains or an unruly gallbladder...all of which are readily treatable. So, please try not to worry and focus on getting your ducks in order for your blood test and have your pains checked out.
Best of luck!!

Jaz, stress can do all kinds of crazy things to our bodies. Easy to say, hard to do, but try and relax. Before you know it, time will have past and you will be able to go get that blood work.
Nothing but best wishes and happy thoughts for ya,
Larry

I failed tx, did tx for 6 months, got the vl way down there, now it's going back up. I get pains too, but I just had blood work done and my enzymes are still in normal range, I'm waiting for VL....take a deep breath, focus on something else, and rest. xoxo

At this time my viral load is down to zero, but it would be best not to egage in activitys that could put you back in the pathof the virus again.
