Hi Everyone-
I finally got my results back from the liver biopsy. I'm a stage 1/grade 1. This is great news! My doctor said that she typically would not recommend treatment at this time, but it was up to me. I opted not to at this time. For now I will try to manage this through a healthy lifestyle. We will check my liver functions every 6 mo and if all stays normal I will have another bx in 5 years to see if there have been any changes. MY BIOPSY CAME BACK STAGE 1 W/MINIMAL SCARRING,DR. LEFT IT UP TO ME AS WELL. UNFORTUNATLY, I ALSO HAVE FIBRO.,C.F.S.,RHEU. ARTH. AND HIGH CHOLESTEROL. ASKED HOW I COULD FEEL SO SICK IF MY LIVERS SO HEALTHY,GUESS(ACCORDING TO DR.)THE STATE OF YOUR LIVER DOESN'T DETERMINE HOW SICK YOU FEEL.HARD TO BELIEVE I KNOW. What made you decide not to do treatment? I am just wondering. I haven't had a liver biopsy yet, but I have been contemplating when I would do treatment and if it could wait a few years. I understand if your decision was a personal choice you don't want to talk about.

Congratulations, it is good to receive good news. I was very happy when i found out my genotype was 2b just a few days ago. I will be having liver biopsy on july 17th. A bit nervous actually, but my wife has been a real trooper and a great support, but not like you guys...I have no symptoms at all other than the shocking news from blood work I got done about over a month ago when I first found out. My enzyme count is 6 million and I will hope for a good liver biopsy...
