is there anybody else taking neupogen? my white blood count is low so the doctor now wants me to inject neupogen three times a week to get the count up. i'm feeling like the treatment is killing me? i felt fine before i started treatment six weeks ago. now, i'm falling apart. i'm really scared.

My dr. had me do 3 shots in a row and I had bad side effects. My white count went from 1.2 to 20 in 3 days. Normal range is 3-10. I can not take them. Now my white count has dropped to 1.6 again so I go for lab tomorrow and if it has dropped again. I have to stop the tx. I have had 9 shots of the pegasyss (interferon) If I have to stop I need to just trust in God that it was enough. My viral load was 0 at 4 weeks so I am a fast responder. Good Luck - you might be ok with 3 times a week.

so, did you stop the pegasyss after nine shots? that's wonderful that your viral load went to zero so fast. i start the neupogen tomorrow and have another blood test next monday.

I aqm on tx.I was put on neupogen in week 6 . Then was taken off because my wbc got too high.(excessive)Then WBC dropped again.I started noticing any little cuts would not heal right.I mean a paper cut would end up being a horrible sore, you know?
Then the doc put me back on neupogen.It is normal to feel like shit on tx, sweety.Everything that matters in our system is being challenged while on tx. My Dr. said that interferon is chemotherapy. I hope you do better on this crazy tx.I don't do very well on it, but I know it is my only hope of clearing this virus, so I do the tx. L&R, Ru

I feel its better to take the neupogen rather than miss a interferon shot. Sorry but you will feel bad. I took many of these shots. Before you know it it will be over. Good luck ,kotlbland
