" Today the nurse from my mail order pharmacy called me and she's going thru all the list of do's and don'ts. She said to avoid sun exposure, for the same reason Dilew stated...that the meds accelerate sun burn and can also cause sun poisoning. She said I should always use a sun screen if I am outside. Later on I started wondering...she told me to avoid harsh soaps and all perfume as they are absorbed into the liver through the skin...but wouldn't sun screen that's full of chemicals anyhow, be absorbed into the skin and therefore into the liver? So wouldn't sun screen be bad for ya too? I'm gonna have to ask her about this again next week. In the meantime I'll just wear a Burka. "

" I read that you can use ascorbic acid for sunscreen.
Just add it to a lotion or oil. I am not sure just how. Funny though, on Tx, I think you are not supposed to take vitamin C, but I wonder if that includes topical C lotions.... "

" At whole food, i have seen organic sunscreen. So that would mean no harmful chemicles. I was told about the sun also, the riba end of it will cause you too burn quickly just like some antibiotics. Just always wear sunscreen and you should be fine. We aren't going to the beach this year for this reason and for the money reason! But i am outside alot, just use sunscreen-which everyone in the world should be doing. Beth
ps: i think you could slowly get a tan if you wanted too. Not from the inside beds though. "
