Hang in there..let your body rest and don't feel guilty..don't sweat the small stuff. You will have good days..and bad ones. I drank some carrot juice with oj..in the mornings..2twice a week and it helped..plus lots of vitamins.

Are you on treatment? I have a very difficult time with energy as well. I try to just be patient with myself. Some days are more productive than others. Make sure you eat and that your are well hydrated.

There are a few things these past 20 weeks I found have helped on tx.
Taking vitamins c/d/e B complex, zinc, and most recently I started taking food grade iodine. I discovered if you are loosing our hair it is a thyroid issue. I have been taking it for two days now and just have perked up ten fold. I purchased it at a health food store, only $9.00, just ask the clerk for help. It is made from kelp and seaweed. Good luck. Lots of water too, blueberries and yogurt. Are you getting your blood checked, is your white blood cell count low?

You are what you eat. You must be very careful about what you put into your body. As soon as I realized food is energy for my body and not just something I do then I became aware of the things I put into my mouth. If I eat crappy foods then I feel like crap. But If I drink plenty of water everyday, fruits/veggies, protien, complex carbs then I feel better. So this is what I did for myself and it has helped bunches. Everything in moderation. Cut out the sugar as much as possible a good alt. to sugar is steevia. Cut out as much sodium as possible, switch to sea salt. Cut out 'white' anything and only use whole grain, wheat, brown rice. Eat LOTS of frutis and veggies. Drink lots of water. No pop no diet pop no fruit juices which are loaded with sugar and are different from like a frozen canister of OJ, which is good, in moderation. I think of myself as a partial vegetarian. I only eat tuna, turkey, chicken and very little. Protien can be found in other sources too such as beans, rice. I also am huge on the colon. You need to get the sludge that you have been building up in your gut for years OUT it builds very hard plaque like walls that line your gut making it near impossible for your body to absorb the nutrients, vitamins, amino acids that you are trying to feed it and builds a breding ground for bad bacteria to grow, even worse, but I will leave that part out. So please consult with your local naturoapthy clinic about a detox program! It saves lifes believe me!! If you are thinking about any herbs or supplements please talk to your doctor first as there is a very real possibility it can interact with medications. And start exercising too. Taking a walk after dinner is a nice place to start and with all things give yourself time to change as this is a huge asjustment...but probably the best one you will ever make. =)

Your profile says you found out you had this virus in 1997, what have you done so far?
Have you already had your biopsy, what is your VL, stage and grade, and are you on tx?
It's hard to say much about your being so tired because the cause could be any number of things.
Before I knew I had the virus, I was sleeping about 20hrs a day and was still tired. I had to take time off work because of the fatigue. Once I was dx, I made major changes to my diet and lifestyle, was able to return to work and then did tx.
While on tx, I was quite tired again but it was a different sort of fatigue brought on by tx.
If you don't know the condition of your liver, you need to get that info.
If you are on tx, you can expect the fatigue, so you will have to learn to save your energy for most needed activities.

I so know what you are feeling. I make myself small goals to get done everday, and hey if I get one or two done, it was a great day. Drink drink and drink water....it will help get the those nasty toxins out of you. When I am low ebb, I can almost gaurantee that I have not gotten enough fluids in me. Sometimes, I have to pay attention to make sure I eat healthy too. I know I don't always think to eat,and if I eat and drink properly, then I do feel much perkier. Also, redeem the time. When I feel good, which is getting more and more good,t hen bad...I try to go to lunch, or dinner, or out to a movie and such. What ever floats your boat, go for it when you are up to it. Also, do remember, we should be resting as much as possible so our body and heal itself. I am so amazed at my friend dilew, who still works full time. She is my sheroe! Anyway, we are all here for you. Make sure you are doing the basics to help your body heal, and not hinder your healing process.
