Looking at Surgery

Hi All. I have been having a lot of pain lately and went to the Dr last week. Found out I have 2 anal fissures and hemrrhoids that my doctor thinks need surgery.

I am seeing a surgeon next week to see what he has to say. Seems like I have been doing a lot of reading on forums that surgery doesn't always do that much good and am anxious to see what everyone's experience has been here.

Part of my problem seems to be that I have a lot of burning on the entire left side of my anus and I don't know how they can do surgery for that. Has anyone had this problem?

Thanks for any comment on this.

" Randy, have you had a colonoscopy or a flexible sigmoidoscopy? The sig will show what is going on in the lower part of the colon. I hope you have that before scheduling surgery.

" I have been told to remove mine, I have 4 or 5 on the outside hanging (embarrising) and inside to, fissures yes, I go to the dr, on the 20th of this month to see if I am goig to do the surgery, I am scared of after the surgery, I am busty with kids and to have time to recover is going to be hard, but I have also heard they come back after surgery to, so I will see on the 20th if I want to do this or not. I am tired of having these hang out my but and when they flare up man the pian begins. I wish ya the best, hugs AMY "
